Anyone stating he weighed over 550 lbs is bogus, as his exact weight is not known. Lions are truly the king of beasts, in both action, and looks!

Posts: 94 Tue, Oct 13, 2009 8:05 AM	seems this lion was from some cane hunting. where they purposely feed their animals to the point of overfeeding so that they are larger and they hunt them down. shame that these guys do this to their animals. i hate them for it. the lion though looks to be about average though, the hunters are all staying way back in order to make the lion look larger.

I agree with Genao. Hunters usually exaggerate lion weights so as make it as large. The weights given by them is hardly reliable and unscientific. That's why i don't take hunter data seriously. But, this lion was actually stated to have weighed....as well as the fact the account mentions this animal was weighed with a scale with a capacity of....well, i`m not saying it yet....but, you are wrong about his weight....he is above that. And, it is not an estimate...so, how could it be exaggerated?... Lions are truly the king of beasts, in both action, and looks!

I have never in my life stated anything like this...in fact, some hunters records of tigers which i have, and agree with as they were proven to have been weighed, is those from brander and behar. Posts: 94 Wed, Oct 14, 2009 6:55 AM	whatever the weight is im not going to believe it much since i cant trust you on it. even still, this looks to be a cane hunt where the animal is not really and true wild individual and will be overfeed and will be larger on average by default. even with that, these blasted hunters exaggerate and lie about the weight of the animals they hunt. i wouldn't trust what they say since what they are trying to hype up the animal that they kill for exposure.

Posts: 94 Wed, Oct 14, 2009 7:15 AM	what the hell you mean you dont lie? when it comes to weights you manipulate the data in order to make it sound that lions are superior in size or whatever to tigers and larger than they really are. the size of this lion if it is from a cane hunt which it looks to be the case with all those people in the picture, would be by default larger than the average lion since they are fed to a good degree in order to grow to the max of its ability and to be killed for it. even with that, they still lie about the weights/size of the animal. it is like comparing a zoo version of the animal which will be larger since it gets more than enough to grow its full size. but in then end, you kill the animal for display and glory. and also you cant be a tiger fan, with so much effort you put to put the cat down to your favorite animal.

What the hell are you talking about?.... and, they would have no reason to lie about the weight of that animal.....who would care, anyway?.....this animal was actually stated to have been weighed.....and, i have never heard of a case in which a hunter supposedly lied about the weight of an animal which they have captured. Now, maybe a hunter may estimate the weight of an animal they have not weighed, and that may be wrong. However, you are suggesting something which you cannot prove, something that also sounds ridiculus. and, i don`t put the cat down to my favorite animal....rather, i just do not believe tigers are larger, and most usually, the lion would win in a fight. And, this is not merely an empty statement, i have the data to prove it. Lions are truly the king of beasts, in both action, and looks!
