This is an interesting article about culling wild animals in various parts of Canada.  I'm sure the same applies to other countries.

What are people's opinions on culling?  Necessary or cruel?

I have to wonder at the culling of Wolves.  Doesn't stike me as anything to do with saving Caribou and more to do with eliminating a competitive threat to hunters. 

The rabbits definitely appear to be a problem though
