Posts: 658 Thu, May 5, 2011 7:52 PM	Remove this ad Just watched the new video of this skirmish on youtube. Typical, as lion vs tiger encounters go. Tiger rears up on his hind legs, throws a volley of blows that the lion expertly slips before landing the telling blow that sends the tiger scurrying.

I HEARD HE KILLED A LION , , BADLY INJURED HOBBI , A MATURE TIGER WHO USED TO BEAT THE CRAP OUT OF HIM WHEN FINAL 16 WAS YOUNG . Final 16 weighs around 900 lbs . now . Kudos to grizzly claws for info .

I'm fully aware tigers win their share of battles, but this new Everland vid reflects thorough domination from the lion. Gang warfare or not. And of course that TELLING blow at the end.

The tiger was submissive all the time (jumping back trying to get distance off the lion, ears retracted, fighting on his back, etc. - even a mouse would attack a human if driven into the corner, same goes for the tiger which would also have ran away like all the others but couldn't do that any more). Did you see how that male tiger's swipes caused no damage to the lion? They sunk into his mane (the lion made them sinking there). While the lion only needed one swipe to get the tiger to the ground and one to get him off his mane (it wasn't just the car, it arrived few moments too late for that being the only reason). The lion got a bit bloody nose at the end (I had to watch the video (how that episode continued) twice to notice that the lion's nose bleeds a bit) but who knows which injures the tiger received at his belly? The lion seemed to have a good hold there until they were seperated. By the way the tiger was the first one to flee. So, what are you talking about, perrault? The tiger smacked the lion? In no way. Oh any by the way, perrault, why do you mention that "gang warfare"? I've seen the lion ganging up on tigers...actually only two times in Everland and that weren't even real fights. I start to wonder... @Prathap: Nope, that 900 lbs weight is exaggerated. You have to subtract at least 300 lbs. At the very least. And not iger in Everland dominated lions for a longer time, lions have always been dominant there. The lion, symbol of power and bravery all over the world and in nearly every religion. And not iger in Everland dominated lions for a longer time, lions have always been dominant there. that was a tigress and a male lion. this fact alone would be enough to forgive every lost battle against a male. but when i am honest, the tigress won. let me explain. first of all, the lion hit the tigress also several times, and doing no damage to the tigress. the lion needed only one swipe to get the tigress on the ground? not really. the tigress fall to the ground while trying to get out of the whole. seriously, the lion didnt hit the tigress when she fall to the ground. and in the end of the fight the tigress had a grip on the lions neck. by the way, how does it come that so many lion-bashing and tiger-bashing videos, pics or accounts got posted here in the last few days? bashing these 2 cats seem to increase, even from the lion side, which i find surprising.

Look at here (ignore the bad music and wrong title): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gV6RmZ11gd0 - look at 1:25 and stop when the tiger jumps up the stone. It gets clearly visible that this was a male tiger, not a tigress. And, the lion only really landed two swipes, one to get the tiger to the ground (although it was more like hustling the tiger which jumped back) and one to get him off his mane (not neck, if you don't believe me, watch the video again and stop at that moment). And the tiger was submissive all the time, as I described. Just wanted to defend himself. But, I agree, the bashing rate increased in the past days. Although I've only seen one case which could be considered tiger bashing (in my opinion) but several cases of lion bashing. And no one does anything against this.
