Some new weights were provided by Bold on Kruger NP lions. These lions were also said to be baited.

In fact, this is also incorrect, Chui.
Baits are settled in late afternoon, they are
inspected 30 minutes before sunrise. This gives enough time for the tiger for
killing and eating the prey. However, Sunquist (1981) show that even with this
time, none of the tigers manage to “gorge” itself, as the maximum amount of
food recorded in a 24 hours period was of 18.6 kg. This means that Chitwan
tigers, with a high prey density, just eat what they need, they no need to
gorge. Besides, Dr Sunquist stated in an email (2008) that none of the tigers
captured had a huge belly, which also means that they were not gorged.
It is interesting that Sunquist (1981) stated
that all those tigers were disturbed and were not able to eat very much. However,
Smith et al. (1983) stated that most
of the captured tigers (60%) even returned to the same bait and continued
eating, which means that they have not eat they maximum, and only then, they
recorded the figures of 14-19 kg for daily food consumption (depending of the
sex obviously, but they mixed at the end). So, no gorged tigers, at least not
at the baits.
Lions and tigers can eat up to 10% of them body
weight, with extreme (although not very common) cases of up to 35 kg in Nepal,
33 kg in Serengeti, 35 kg in South Africa and even 50 kg in Gir! However, the
average food intake in a 24 period is between 14-18 kg in Nepal tigers (both
sexes) and up to 8-14 kg in Etosha lionesses depending of the climate (males
probably more and probably equal to male Nepalese tigers).
So, is possible that baited lions in Africa had not eat much from the
baits, but taken in count that a lion can eat 1 kg with a couple of bites, at
least 1-5 kg should be adjusted for the baited lions.

Thank you very much for your words. This
encourages me to put the best information that I can.
Yes, tigers have about 12 hours to feed on the
baits (between 5:00 pm to 5:00 am), but this assuming that they hunted the
baits immediately after its collocation and that was obviously not the case. Even
then, it seems that the baited tigers eat what they needed in that relative
short period of time.

Deinotherium, you have made an excellent job
here, laudable and worthy of congratulations. Thank you very much for your effort. All of us, the posters of the Premier League, will always appreciate this.
I must confess that I have not read the entire
book yet (too little time), but from the final conclusions in these last images,
I can say that now I am 100% sure than there is (and was) no such thing as lions from
I my next posts, I will focused in the DNA
studies, the results support the incredible investigation of Dr Valmik Thapar
and the other two great authors.
By the way, the conclusion No. 10 about the
lions (pg. 233) is AMAZING!!! Those who have read it will agree with me.
Greetings to all.
